Hi, thanks for stopping by the site. I hope you find something useful here. Well, my name is Nathan and I live near Seattle, Washington (USA). I'm a software developer working on search and information visualization technology. Until recently I was a marine scientist, specializing in satellite oceanography and geographic information systems (GIS). I guess I enjoy programming so much that I write my own software as a hobby - which is what you see here.
